Today is a great day ! We are on our way to turn up our new dark fiber using our own optical equipments between Ashburn, VA and Newark, NJ !
We start slowly by adding 100G between ash-1-a9 & nwk-1-a9 and 100G between ash-5-a9 & nwk-5-a9.
That will enable us to improve the resiliancy in terme of traffic and optical path divercity.
Soon we will also use this optical path to make circuits between our Datacenter in Beauharnois,QC, CA and Ashburn, NJ, US.

Reason for closing: Done
The 2 new 100G are now in production!
We don't see any CRC errors and the traffic is well load balanced.
We continue to monitor.
nwk-1-n7# sh inter Ethernet9/4 | i RC
0 runts 0 giants 0 CRC/FCS 0 no buffer
nwk-5-n7# sh inter Ethernet9/3 | i CRC
0 runts 0 giants 0 CRC/FCS 0 no buffer
Since 30 minutes we still don't see any CRC and the traffic is well load balancing.
At the end of the year we will add a new dark with a diverse path in order to protect all these circuits.
