We will have a scheduled maintenance the night from 11 to 12/01 on our fiber BRU <> AMS (http://travaux.ovh.net/?do=details&id=29335) due to road's construction works in Belgium.
At the same time, and since 10 days and mainly because of the adverse weather, we are undergoing a major fibercut on our subsea cable AMS <> LDN (http://travaux.ovh.net/?do=details&id = 29162), which is the back-up photonic line to reach Amsterdam.
We will most probably have to isolate our POP Amsterdam for 2h to 5h duration, from 11/01 23h59 UTC to 12/01 05h00 UTC if the subsea fibercut is not repaired before the AMS <> BRU maintenance
In order to validate that there will be no significant impact, we will conduct isolation tests of our peerings on the Amsterdam POP from tonight, the 10/01 from 23:30 UTC. The peerings will be isolated one by one to validate the rerouting.
An increase in latency is possible during tests and maintenance of BRU <> AMS tomorrow.

Reason for closing: Done
We start the preventive isolation of ams-1-a9
We put back traffic around 2:00. We have made some routing changes, and we still need to control some changes to do tonight.
We start the isolation of ams-1-a9 and ams-5-a9
The routers are isolated from an external and internal point of view.
The operation is over, we are now putting back in operation the Amsterdam pop
All peerings are up and we have de isolate the routers.
We monitor.
